My name is Danny, and I'm a Brazilian-American 🇧🇷 software engineer living in Miami, FL. I have a passion for how tech can impact healthcare by increasing access to essential health services and am currently a software engineer at Healthvana, a company that facilitates communication between individuals and their healthcare providers, empowering them to make informed choices about their health.

Prior to my career as a software engineer, I spent ten years working as a pharmacy technician in the in-patient unit of a local children's hospital.

In 2020, I made the decision to pursue a career in coding and enrolled in the Software Engineering immersive program offered by Fullstack Academy. Upon completing the program, I returned to the academy as a teaching mentor, eager to help others achieve their software engineering goals. Through this experience, I gained valuable knowledge in writing software engineering curriculum, leading live coding demonstrations, conducting front-end assessment preparation lectures and demos, and providing one-on-one and group support to more than 40 students in RESTful architecture, which involved working with Node.js, Express, React, Redux, and Sequelize ORM with PostgreSQL.

I look forward to growing in my career and am hoping to make impactful contributions especially in the areas of healthcare and education.
